KATHMANDU: Nepal’s U19 World Cup will be held in South Africa in 2024.

Previously, the U19 World Cup was slated to take place in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Cricket Board is going to move to South Africa after ICC bans it. They will play his first match against New Zealand.

The 2024 U-19 World Cup will be contested in South Africa from Jan 13 to Feb 4. Group D includes Nepal, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and New Zealand.

Group A consists of India, Bangladesh, Ireland and USA. Group B includes England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland. Australia, hosts Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Namibia are in Group C.

Nepal, America, Scotland, New Zealand and Namibia came from regional selection. Along with host Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe directly reached the World Cup.

Nepal defeated the home team UAE by 7 runs in the ICC U19 World Cup Asia Zone Qualifier and qualified for the World Cup.
