Cricket fan dies of ‘heart attack’ after India’s defeat in World Cup

KATHMANDU: An Indian fan died of a heart attack after the Indian side fell to Australia in the final of the ICC One-Day International World Cup.

Australia defeated India by six wickets in the final on Sunday night at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, winning the ODI World Cup for a record sixth time.

He felt uncomfortable after the Indian team lost in the match. Yadav is said to have suffered a heart attack after seeing Indian team captain Rohit Sharma shed tears after the defeat.

According to Yadav’s relatives, he had a heart attack after witnessing Rohit Sharma cry on television. He was transported to a hospital in Tirupati immediately. However, he died before being transferred to the hospital, according to the physicians.

Yadav married some time ago, according to family members. According to the report, Tirupati Rural Development Committee Chair Mohith Reddy paid his homage to Yadav on Monday.
