KATHMANDU: The list of 100 influential women released by the BBC for this year has been released.
In which Ruksana Kapali from Nepal is also included.
Kapali, a transgender human rights activist, has been open about her sexuality and minority gender groups.
She is a law student who is currently working to establish legal and constitutional rights for Nepal’s LGBT+ community.
She is the BBC’s only Nepali on the list.
The list of 100 influential women includes former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama, Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati, and others.
