Cooperative advocate Madhav Devkota dies in truck collision

KATHMANDU: Madhav Devkota, a dedicated campaigner for cooperatives hailing from Shankarnagar, Rupandehi, met with a fatal accident on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Drivertole in Tilottama Municipality, Rupandehi, when a truck (Na 6 Kha 8161) struck his motorcycle (Lu 49 PA 2230) from behind.

Sadly, both Devkota and a woman riding pillion lost their lives in the collision.

Madhav Devkota, who served as the chairperson of Tilottama cooperatives, held significant roles as a central member of the Cooperatives Union and a director of the National Cooperative Bank.

The accident marks the untimely end of his dedicated contributions to the cooperative sector.
