Post-conflict Gaza should be part of independent Palestinian state: Erdogan

KATHMANDU: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that after the end of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Gaza should be part of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state.

He stated that they want Gaza to be a peaceful place. He stated that Gaza is a part of the Palestinian state. He stated that, following Israel’s onslaught on Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cannot be regarded as Turkey’s equivalent.

He said that there is no way to entirely sever a bond in international diplomacy.

The Turkish President emphasized that Turkey’s major goal is to achieve final peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and that his country has made and will continue to make efforts in this area.
