Regal sent to the same prison after 44 days
Regal has been sent to the district jail along with prisoner slip.
KATHMANDU: Yograj Dhakal ‘Regal’ has been sent to Banke District Jail to serve the additional sentence.
Regal, who was arrested on Thursday after the order of the Supreme Court, was produced by the police in the court on Friday. The district court Banke sent Regal to the district jail.
This decision mandates that Regal will now serve an additional sentence of 11 years, 11 months, and 5 days.

Regal had previously been released from prison on Constitution Day, Ashoj 3 (Sept 20), based on a government recommendation and the President’s approval.
However, a legal writ was filed in the Supreme Court challenging his release. Regal had been convicted of killing Chetan Manandhar near Dhambozhi Chowk in Nepalgunj on Ashar 28, 2072 (13 July , 2015).
Bharati Sherpa, Chetan’s ex-wife, submitted a petition to the Supreme Court on Ashoj 22 (Oct 9), contesting the government’s decision to release Regal’s remaining sentence.
