SYDNEY: Australian police appealed for information on Friday over a shooting which injured a man in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW).

According to NSW Police Force, at about 3:20 p.m. local time on Thursday, emergency services were called to Maryville Way in Thurgoona, an outer suburb of the regional city of Albury in the state’s south, following reports of a shooting.

Police located a 26-year-old man with wounds to his hand and shoulder.

After receiving treatment at the scene by paramedics, the man was transported to a hospital where he remains in stable condition.

A crime scene has been established, with an investigation underway into the circumstances of the incident.

Police also released video footage of a man believed to be able to assist with their inquiries.
