Trucks carrying aid to Gaza get stranded
A significant number of relief aid trucks intended for the Gaza Strip are currently stranded at the Rafah crossing in Egypt.

KATHMANDU: Trucks carrying crucial aid for the 2.3 million Palestinians who have endured nearly three weeks of deprivation in terms of fuel, food, water, and medical supplies have encountered a halt in Egypt.
A significant number of relief aid trucks intended for the Gaza Strip are currently stranded at the Rafah crossing in Egypt.
While the volume of trucks carrying supplies into Gaza has increased, they are still awaiting entry. It is reported that the daily requirement of 100 truckloads of goods is yet to be met.
Approximately two weeks after the commencement of the Israel-Hamas conflict on Oct 21, around 250 humanitarian aid trucks entered Palestinian territory through Rafah.
Several countries, including Algeria, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Tunisia, France, Denmark, Italy, Belgium, Venezuela, and various United Nations agencies, have dispatched planes laden with relief materials.
The ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict has resulted in an official tally of 8,525 Palestinian casualties and 1,400 Israeli casualties from both sides. The Israeli Defense Forces reported that a total of 239 individuals were taken hostage in the Hamas attack.
