Turkey to start domestic production of hepatitis A vaccine

KATHMANDU: Turkey to start domestic production of hepatitis A vaccine.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoan has announced that Turkey will begin domestic production of hepatitis A vaccine, which is currently imported from abroad.

He also inaugurated the KEYVAC vaccine production center in Ankara, Turkey, with a factory area of 29,500 square meters, in collaboration with Turkey’s Alagoz Holding and China’s Sinovac Biotech.

Turkey will be the fourth country in the world to manufacture this vaccine at the highest level. He promised that Turkey’s reliance on foreign supplies would be reduced.
