Nobel bospital to provide 1.5 million for Nepali cricket team if qualifies for T20 World Cup

KATHMANDU: Nobel Medical College has announced a cash prize of Rs 1.5 million for the Nepali cricket team participating in the ICC T20 World Cup cricket qualifiers, assuming they qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
They have also announced a five-lakh-rupee bonus if the team makes it to the finals of the current tournament.
This generous announcement was made by the Biratnagar-based medical college as a gesture of recognition and appreciation for Nepali cricket and its players.
The hospital emphasized the importance of sports in uniting Nepal and its people in a press release, emphasizing its historical significance.
The Nepalese team is performing well in the ‘ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Asia Qualifier’, which is being held in Kathmandu. The college has praised Nepali cricket, saying that qualifying for the World Cup is a source of national pride.
Dr. Bhogendra Prasad Upadhyay, the college’s chief executive officer, handed over the award announcement letter to Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) President Chatur Bahadur Chand.
After the announcement of the award, former chairman and managing director of Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital and currently member of the House of Representatives of Morang Region No. 3 Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma said that he is a big fan of Nepali cricket and said, ‘I and my organization are excited to cooperate for the development of sports and youth. I will continue to develop Nepali cricket.’
In a statement issued by the college, it is said – ‘Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital, under the chairmanship of former President and Managing Director, and current Member of the House of Representatives from Morang Constituency-3, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, has initiated the provision of free and subsidized health care services to athletes from today until now, while prioritizing their social responsibility. Nobel Hospital are also organizing regular free health camps in various locations, ensuring that millions of people living in remote areas have access to healthcare services.’
Likewise, the college congratulated the CAN and the players for their success so far and also wished them good luck for the future.
