Thousands of families fled Lebanon amid the border dispute with Israel

KATHMANDU: As of the Israel-Hamas conflict, more than 30,000 people have been displaced from villages and towns near the Lebanon-Israeli border due to border tensions.

Talal Al Halabi, head of the Lebanese Red Cross Disaster Management Committee in Nabatih, said that about 1,500 families were displaced in Nabatih and Tire, 800 in the Hasbaya area and 700 families from other villages in southeastern Lebanon.

It is said that they have been displaced in schools and guest houses.

Additionally, there have been 58 casualties in Lebanon, including 47 Hezbollah fighters, due to clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli borders.
