KATHMANDU: The Israel-Hamas war, which began on Ashoj 21 (Oct 8), claimed the lives of 3700 people, including ten Nepali students.

Nepalis who come to Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn’ program have also been horribly murdered.

Thousands have been hurt. Ten Nepalis and foreign nationals from a variety of other countries are among those killed in Israel.

According to The New York Times, Hamas fighterts entered Israel and slaughtered residents of many communities. Israel’s military assault in Gaza has killed numerous civilians as well as Hamas fighters.

The current devastation in Israel and Gaza is not the only one. It has a long history together. These types of attacks have occurred before.

The two major points of contention are Jerusalem, boundaries, land, Jewish settlements, and Palestinian refugees.

Although the United Nations has recognized Israel as a member state, Palestine has not yet been granted full membership.

Palestine is struggling to be recognized as an independent state.

Although many nations of the world, including the United Nations, are trying to recognize Israel and Palestine as separate states, the current extremist Israeli government does not want to accept this. Hamas is trying to make the whole land Israel.

Due to the war, there has been a great crisis of water, food, medicine and fuel in various cities of Gaza and millions of people have been displaced from Gaza.

It can be seen that cars were burnt to ashes on the streets of Israel’s Kibbutz area, and houses were damaged by rockets.
