As winter approaches, an injured woman in Herat province’s regional hospital stated that the reconstruction of her home is her first priority.

She said that it was a problem to stay in tarpaulin as winter was approaching. She did not want to reveal her name and said that she had lost a one-year-old child in the earthquake.

The earthquake in Herat province destroyed between 12 and 1500 residential structures. The earthquake reduced the community to dust in seconds.

According to local time, the earthquake struck at 11:10 a.m. The earthquake killed the majority of the women, elderly, and children.
