There is a Hindu tradition of worshiping the nine forms of Navadurga along with the Ghatasthapana of Dashain.
Chandraghanta is considered to be a form of one of Navadurga’s goddesses.
The third form of Goddess Durga Bhavani, Chandraghanta, is honored on the third day of Ashwin Shukla, the third day of the important festival observed in Nepali society.
Shailputri is worshiped on the first day of Dashain, Brahmacharini on the second day, Chandraghanta on the third day, Kushmanda on the fourth day, Skandamata on the fifth day, Katyayani on the sixth day, Kalaratri on the seventh day, Mahagauri on the eighth day and Siddhidatri on the ninth day.
Chandraghanta is Jagdamba’s third power name. His manner of worship on the third day of Navratri is both calming and useful. It is also known as a lunar hour because of the crescent-shaped crescent on its head. The moon is a sign of coolness and art.
According to the scriptures, the goddess used the power of nature and lunar art to make the world more beautiful, prosperous, and splendid.
Goddess Chandraghanta wears a crescent-shaped headpiece that resembles a bell. Mother Chandraghanta is the name of this goddess.
