Six-year-old kid dies of dengue in Tanahun

KATHMANDU: A six-year-old child from Byas Municipality-4 in Tanahun district died this morning while receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical College from dengue fever.

With this, the number of dengue deaths in Byas Municipality has risen to five.

The deceased attended Kankai Global Academy in Damauli.

However, Byas Municipality Health Section Chief Pramod Soti stated that he has not received any official information on the child’s death.

A 35-year-old person of Byas Municipality-10 died of dengue on July 1, 15-year-old boy of Byas Municipality-11 on Sept 19, 13-year-old girl of Byas Municipality-2 on Sept 25 and 34-year-old woman of Byas Municipality-2 on Oct 7 lost their lives due to dengue, according to the Health Office.
