Buddha Air celebrates 26th anniversary & embarks on its 27th year of operations
Birendra Bahadur Basnet, executive chair of Buddha Air, stated that the airline company's technical, pilot, and ground operation teams are constantly improving their capacity to meet the standards of national and international regulatory agencies.

KATHMANDU: Buddha Air, which began its journey with an 18-seater plane, is now celebrating its 26th anniversary and entering its 27th year of service.
During this time, Buddha Air has served over 20 million local and international passengers.
Birendra Bahadur Basnet, executive chair of Buddha Air, stated that the airline company’s technical, pilot, and ground operation teams are constantly improving their capacity to meet the standards of national and international regulatory agencies.
‘We have been undertaking frequent audits and assessments from national and international organizations to make Buddha Air’s flight services effective,’ he said.
With the slogan ‘Traveller’s time is our flight,’ Buddha Air is growing the number of flights to diverse destinations. Pokhara has 17 daily flights, whereas Biratnagar and Bhairahawa have 9 and 10, respectively.
There are also more than a half-dozen flights to additional locations.
He stated that the number of flights to Surkhet, Tumlingtar, and Dhangadhi will be increased gradually.
On the occasion of Buddha Air’s 26th anniversary, he conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to all passengers, the Ministry of Tourism, the Civil Aviation Authority, Nepal Oil Corporation, various financial institutions, travel agencies/portals, and all his well-wishers.
Buddha Air is a renowned private airline that operates a fleet of three ATR-42 and thirteen ATR-72 aircraft, known for their passenger-friendly and environmentally sustainable features.
In October, the airline will receive another ATR aircraft, bringing their total fleet to 17 aircraft.
Buddha Air also prides itself on its state-of-the-art aircraft repair hangar, recognized internationally for its excellence.
This facility not only services the airline’s aircraft but also extends its services to domestic and international businesses.
