KATHMANDU: Suresh Devkota, a senior chartered accountant, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Securities Limited, a subsidiary of Nabil Bank Limited.

Nabil Securities’ board of directors has appointed Devkota as executive chairman for a four-year term beginning on Ashwin 21, 2080.

Devkota has over two decades of banking experience and was previously the Chief Investment Officer of Nabil Bank Limited. He began his banking career with Nepal Bank Limited in 2062 and worked for Nepal Bangladesh Bank for 15 years.

He was appointed Chief Investment Officer following Nabil Bank’s acquisition of Nepal Bangladesh Bank.

Devkota is a chartered accountant by profession and a former member of the Nepal Board of Accountants. He holds a management master’s degree from Tribhuvan University and has served on the boards of Nepal Rural Development Bank, IME General Insurance, and other enterprises.

The company’s board of directors believes that Nabil Securities will do well under his guidance, who specializes in the financial industry and the capital market.
