KMC doctors stage sit-in in front of police cordon in rain (photos)

The agitated doctors of Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) marched from the hospital to the police-encircled Gaushala, where they launched a sit-in.

According to a doctor studying at KMC, doctors and health workers began a protest after the patient’s relatives assaulted an intern working in the OPD.
Two of those engaged in the beating have been apprehended, but one remains at large.
They have sought harsh punishment for the perpetrators.
It is said that the relatives of the patient assaulted the doctor during a mutual dispute on Sunday.
Doctors were attacked again in the capital the day after the administration reached an agreement with the protesting doctors following the incident at Pokhara’s Manipal Hospital.
