‘Balapan’ movie premieres with Minister of Culture & Tourism as special guest

KATHMANDU: The film ‘Balapan’ was premiered in the capital on Saturday.
Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture and Tourism, was the special guest at the premiere, which took place at the Film Development Board in the capital’s Chabahil district.
According to Minister Kirati, the film portrays what is seen in society. According to him, the government is interested in film development because films are the foundation of economic development.
Former Film Development Board chair Rajkumar Rai stated that no matter what theme a film addresses, there is a necessity for financial success in the current environment. Good wishes are insufficient for the picture. Everything should be in place for the film. “If new people do not enter the film industry, it will cease to exist,” he stated.
Milan Rai, the producer of the film said, I am completely new to this field. Many of our shortcomings may be weaknesses. He said that the film was made purely for social service, for the support of the day-burdened, helpless, orphaned children. “We are premiering the film in various districts of Nepal, America, Canada, Australia, UK, Hong Kong, UAE and other countries,” he said.
Directed by Shiva RG, the film stars Sabin Shrestha, Priyanka Karki, Dhiren Shakya, Soni BC, Sunil Thapa, Rajendra Kumar Thapa, Race Firiri, Prabhuram Karki, Til Bahadur Karki, Hot Milan Rai and child actors Ritesh Duwadi and Arohi Karki.
Produced by Angelina Films Production Pvt Ltd, the film is produced by Prabhuram Karki and Hot Milan Rai and co-produced by Indira Thapa and Kala Rai. Ramakrishna Kharel has cinematography in the film.
