Maoist Sudurpaschim Vice Chair Mahesh passed away, lost his wife & son in bus accident
He died on the route to Lucknow, India, in an ambulance after attempting to arrange for a helicopter.
KATHMANDU: Krishna Baduwal (Mahesh), Vice Chair of the CPN Maoist Center Sudurpaschim State, has died. He died on the route to Lucknow, India, for treatment after contracting pneumonia.
Baduwal, who was stationed at Doti during the Maoist center’s three-month conversion operation, had returned to his native area of Kailali and was receiving general care after experiencing health concerns. After he died of pneumonia, plans were made to transport him to Kathmandu for further treatment.
However, it is understood that after being carried to Nepalgunj Airport, the crew of the plane declined to deliver the patient since they would have to fly from a high altitude, causing additional issues.

Baduwal’s wife and one son were killed in a bus accident on the 20th of Ashoj 2071 (6 Oct, 2014) in Katkatte, Doti. That bus catastrophe claimed the lives of 29 persons.
Baduwal is known within the party as a leader with good public relations in the Sudurpaschim. He was regarded as the famed Surkhet jailbreaker warrior.
