Doctors stage protest, call for resignation of Home & Health Minister

KATHMANDU: Following a series of attacks on them, the doctors walked to the streets to seek protection.

Doctors from throughout the country demonstrated for the right to work in a safe environment while being unable to halt the migration of teachers from across the country with diverse professional demands.

Doctors grew enraged yesterday after an attack on colleagues at the Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.

Doctors have advocated for a workplace safety guarantee and the implementation of the Amendment Act on the safety of health workers and health institutions.

Protesters sought the resignations of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet at Maitighar Mandala.
