Death due to electrocution while lifting electric pole

KATHMANDU: A man died on Sunday afternoon after being electrocuted while lifting electric poles on a tractor.

A 35-year-old Ajay Sah Sonar, resident of Ekdara Rural Municipality-4, No. 4614, Road G-1, Ratauli, Pipra Rural Municipality-6, died on Sunday afternoon.

According to the authorities, he suffered major injuries as a result of an electric shock and died while receiving treatment at the Janakpur State Hospital.

In addition, one individual was hurt by an electric shock and is being treated at Janaki Health Care Janakpur.

The tractor driver has been apprehended, and the police are undertaking the required investigations.
