Relief teachers continue to protest: sleeping on roads for their demands (photos)

KATHMANDU: Today, relief teachers laid down in the streets and performed a silent protest..

The relief teachers held a silent protest by sleeping on the road from Maitighar Mandala to New Baneshwor in Kathmandu, led by the Central Committee of Nepal Relief Teachers.

Although the government and the Federation of Teachers reached an agreement on six points, the relief teachers maintained their protest, claiming that it did not satisfy their requests.

They have stated that they will continue to demonstrate until the teachers’ union meets their demands.

They claim that 40,000 relief teachers, child development teachers, and pension-eligible teachers have joined them in their protest.
