Shrestha, a prominent businessman from Dubai, has announced his campaign for ICC Secretary, with four major goals in mind.
KATHMANDU: Manoj Kumar Shrestha (Gorkhali), who has been in the forefront of several Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) activities, has announced his candidacy for NRNA ICC Secretary in the association’s eleventh convention.
Shrestha, a prominent businessman from Dubai, has announced his campaign for ICC Secretary, with four major goals in mind. Shrestha, who has been involved in NRNA social work at various levels since 2007, is well-known in the Middle East.
Shrestha, NRNA NCC UAE Vice Chair, ICC Member, Middle East Deputy Coordinator, and currently Middle East Coordinator, is one of the first individuals Nepalis who have been affected by tragedy in the Middle East recall.
Shrestha, who gave his life for the rescue and assistance of flood-affected Nepalese, was also a driving force behind the COVID initiative to supply oxygen cylinders to Nepal. Shrestha, who does not like to publicize his charitable efforts, also led the NRNA in the 8th and 9th National Sports Competitions.
Shrestha has consistently advocated in the ICC for the rights of Nepalese workers in the Middle East, drawing the attention of the government on multiple occasions.
Shrestha claims to be motivated by the concept that action should take precedence over propaganda. He has stated that he will run for secretary this time because everyone has praised his social work and contributions to the NRNA thus far.
Shrestha says that the opportunity he got while leading the Middle East and the world travel inspired him to bind Nepalis all over the world in a formula of unity and strive for the overall welfare of all.
Shrestha said that the suffering of Nepalis in Europe, Africa, America, Australia for foreign employment is not different from the pain of Nepalis working in the Middle East.
Shrestha says that his candidacy is important to make the Nepali government responsible for the issues of millions of Nepalis around the world.
Shrestha says that he is confident that he will get the expected results this time because of the love of NRNA campaigners from around the world and the support of the Nepali community.
