Rangeli Gangsters to be the “Grand Premiere” in Australia

KATHMANDU: The Nepali movie ‘Rangeli,’ which is currently being shot, will have its ‘grand premiere’ in Australia.

Executive producer Jeetendra Khatiwada revealed that the film, which will be released in Nepal on the day of Maha Shivratri on Falgun 25 (March 8), will have its Australian premiere in the last week of January.

The movie will be premiered and distributed by ‘Hot Bits Events’ in Australia. For the debut, a film crew from Nepal will travel there. The film’s debut will be attended by important Nepalis, diplomats, journalists, and filmmakers. It is expected to premiere in the United States prior to the public showing.

The production side of “Rangeli” has said that the company has purchased the Australian distribution rights by providing “West Value”. Khatiwada said that for the general audience, it will be released simultaneously on the release date of Nepal in various countries of the world where Nepalis live, including Australia.

Written and directed by Arjun Subedi, ‘Rangeli’ has Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Arpan Thapa, Praveen Khatiwada, Ramesh Budhathoki and others in leading roles. Currently, the movie is being shot in Rangeli, Kursia, Katahari, Biratnagar and Birtamod areas of Morang.

Sushant Gautam’s music for this film will be shot live in Europe’s world-renowned ‘Budhapest Orchestra’. This is the first time a Nepali film will film a song in this manner. The words are penned by Harka Saud, while the singing will be performed by Sanup Paudel and Anu Chaudhary. Sushant Gautam and Hercules Basnet will compose music for the film’s other tracks.

The film’s executive producers are Jeetendra Khatiwada and Anuj Jung Thapa. Sansar Chaulagai and Ramesh Bhattarai Vashishtha are the producers, and Yuvak Karki and Shiva Thapalia are co-producers. The associate producer is Bivek Khadka (Yolo). Sushan Prajapati is the director of photography for this film.
