KATHMANDU: Nepal will play New Zealand in the first match of the ICC U-19 World Cup on Jan 13, 2024.

In the second match, Nepal will play against Pakistan on Jan 17. Nepal will play the last match of the group stage against Afghanistan on Jan 20.

The World Cup will be held in Sri Lanka from Jan 13 to Feb 4, 2024.

Nepal qualified for the World Cup after defeating the UAE by 7 runs in the Asia Qualifier final on March 2.

For the first time since 2016, Nepal has qualified for the World Cup.

This World Cup will include 16 countries. The 16 countries taking part are grouped into four groups.

Aside from Nepal in Group D, this group includes New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

India is in Group A and is a former World Cup winner.

Automatically selected teams: Sri Lanka (host), Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies, and Zimbabwe.

Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Scotland, and the United States were chosen from a regional pool.
