Marble portrait of Alexander the Great found in Turkey

KATHMANDU: A marble statue of Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, has been found in Turkey.

The photo was found in the western Black Sea region of Turkey.

The photo was found during excavations in Prusias ad Hypium ancient theater in Dujse province.

As soon as the head was found, it was sent to a museum. It is said to belong to the second century and is 23 cm.
