KATHMANDU: As of the teachers’ march, the Baneshwor-Maitighar area has turned chaotic.

Although they began their demonstration on Wednesday, they continued it on Thursday, but traffic in this area has become hectic.

The Nepal Teachers’ Federation has launched a movement centered on Kathmandu in response to some aspects of the federal parliament’s school education law.

They walked from Maitighar Mandala to Baneshwor to protest. As to the demonstration, traffic situation in the area has become chaotic.

The federation began the protest by declaring that the minister could not meet their demands.

According to data from last year, there are currently 27,343 public schools in the country, with 157,354 instructors employed on a permanent, temporary, or relief basis. Public schools have 5.382 thousand students.

The sit-in is being participated in by teachers and school workers from across the country.

The federation has requested an address on issues such as temporary teacher stability, the creation of posts for school staff, child class teachers who work outside of the school structure, the calculation of temporary period and pension, teacher promotion, principal appointment, transfer, and performance evaluation.
