Dutch King calls to end poverty in the country

KATHMANDU: King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has called for an end to the country’s growing poverty, only two months before the next general parliamentary election.

He stated that the Netherlands is a country with an appealing economy, as well as a country with solid and robust public services.

The King’s statement came as the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics stated that the Dutch population’s purchasing power fell by 1.2 percent last year compared to 2022 due to rising inflation.

This is the most significant drop in the Netherlands in 40 years.
