INARUWA: With Vishwakarma Puja just around the corner, sculptors have been encouraged to make an idol of Vishwakarma.

According to sculptor Vinod Yadav, artists were encouraged to create Vishwakarma idols, and the number of individuals purchasing idols grew.

Vishwakarma is venerated here as a unique festival for the owners of all vehicles and factories, therefore its activity has expanded in many rural and urban regions of the district, including Inaruwa.

Rama Lakhan Mandal, Sculptor of Inaruwa-8, stated that local sculptors create hundreds of idols for Vishwakarma Puja.

Sculptor Manoj Mehta stated that creative clay sculptures are manufactured and sold here for Rs.2,000 to Rs.5,000.

Ramlakhan Mandal of Inaruwa-8 alone has made 50 Vishwakarma statues, the most of which have been sold. The idol of Vishwakarma is purchased & sold for 10,000 at Sunsari. According to local shoppers, the price of the idol has risen in response to rising demand.

Sculptors have earned between two lakh and two lakh fifty thousand rupees per year by creating creative clay sculptures in this manner at various eras.

According to stakeholders, if the sculptor can protect the work, the statue can fetch a decent price, so the government should also provide training to the sculptor on a regular basis and encourage them.
