Committee formed to negotiate with the agitating doctors

KATHMANDU: The government has formed a negotiation team to negotiate with the protesting Nepal Doctors Association.
Mohan Bahadur Basnet, Minister of Health and Population, has constituted a five-member negotiation team, which would be coordinated by Additional Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Bikash Devkota, according to Tulsinath Gautam, Joint Secretary of the Ministry.

Members of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, and the joint secretaries of the Ministry of Health have organized a five-member negotiating team.
The committee has already invited doctors to participate in discussions.
In order to take action against people who attacked the doctors, health organizations around the country have closed all services save emergency ones today.
