Actress Karishma Shrestha in the movie ‘Mayavi’

KATHMANDU: The lineup of the main actors of the new Nepali film ‘Mayavi’, which is going to be directed by director Diwakar Bhattarai, is being announced.

Simultaneously, actress Karishma Shrestha has been cast in the film.

While Deepika Prasain has been cast as the primary heroine, while Paul Shah and Sushil Sitaula have been cast as the key heroes, Karishma has been cast as the heroine. Samim Khan, the victor of ‘Man Hunt International Nepal 2016’, was already announced as the new hero.

Karisma made her Nepali cinema debut in ‘Euta Saathi,’ and has since appeared in ‘Luv Sab,’ ‘Babu Kanchha,’ and ‘Luv Sab,’ among others.

Karisma, who hasn’t acted in a film since then, will make her feature film debut with ‘Mayavi’ after a long absence.

Through this film, actor Raj Katuwal is making his debut in the film industry as a producer. This film, which is the story of director Bhattarai himself, is going to be produced under the banner of Creative Cine Arts.

The movie to be produced by Creative Cine Arts will have music by SD Yogi, lyrics by Ram Aviral Bishta, DOP by Raju Bikram Thapa.

The movie will go on floors from Ashoj 2 (Sept 19). Director Bhattarai informed that the shooting of the film will be done in the scenic location of Pokhara.

Diwakar has already directed the films ‘Mero Jeevan Saathi’, ‘Stupid Maan’, ‘Dreams’, ‘Aishwarya’ and ‘Captain’.
