KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has left for America Saturday.

The Prime Minister boarded a Qatar Airlines flight to New York for the United Nations General Assembly at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and other ministers and leaders wished Prime Minister Prachanda farewell.

Acting Prime Minister Khadka has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Prachanda will address the General Assembly on Ashoj 4 (September 21).

There is an agenda to reawaken the faith of the global community and provide an opinion on the unity required to realize the goals of sustainable development for peace, prosperity, and the long-term viability of all.

He will attend a reception hosted by US Vice President Joe Biden on Ashoj 2 (Sept 19).

He will meet with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres. In addition, the ministry stated that they will meet with counterparts from other countries.

Following his address to the 78th United Nations General Assembly’s high-level session, Prime Minister Dahal is set to depart New York for an official visit to China on Ashoj 5 (September 22).

Prime Minister Dahal is set to speak at many events in York, including the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development and Climate Change.

Hangzhou is hosting a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Prime Minister Dahal will attend the 19th Asian Games’ opening ceremony.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will visit the Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Science, which has achieved high success in the field of agriculture and technology in a short time, including the Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Science.

There is a plan to visit the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, which borders Nepal, and meet with high-ranking officials there and then return to Nepal.
