Rai takes taxi to notify police of Tinkune massacre

KATHMANDU: On Friday about 12:55 p.m., authorities received word that the dead of four people had been discovered in a wood mill in Gairigaun.

Dipendra Rai, a worker in the compound where the crime occurred, contacted the police in the middle of the night to report the assault.

He boarded a taxi and reached at Tinkune’s New Baneshwor police circle.

However, Rai has been detained and is being investigated by the police owing to questionable activity.

According to authorities, four persons were slain using sharp weapons, including three members of the same family. Another person who was killed is believed to be a relative of Dipendra.
