Viral fever and dengue infections increased in Sarlahi
Dr. Nawal Kishor Jha, Acting Medical Superintendent of State Hospital Malangwa, stated that viral fever spread swiftly throughout the region following a week of persistent rain and climatic changes.
KATHMANDU: Since a few days, viral fever infection has increased in Sarlahi. The number of people seeking treatment for viral fever has begun to rise at every private and public health facility in the district.
Dr. Nawal Kishor Jha, Acting Medical Superintendent of State Hospital Malangwa, stated that viral fever spread swiftly throughout the region following a week of persistent rain and climatic changes.
The majority of patients who come to Lalbandi Model Hospital for treatment, according to Dr. Alok Kumar Kushwaha, are ill with viral fever. Such patients, according to him, exhibit symptoms such as sore throat, weakness, and high temperature.
Head of Lalbandi Municipality Health Branch, Mumtaz Mikrani, informed that 10 to 15 people with viral fever infections reach private and government health institutions in Lalbandi, Nawalpur, Hariyon, Bagmati and other places for treatment.
According to him, the number of patients with viral fever is higher in the private health institutions in Lalbandi, Nawalpur, and Hariyon, as well as in the government health institutions, as compared to other places.
Dengue infections are also increasing throughout the district, while details of viral fever are yet to come, said acting medical superintendent of State Hospital Malangwa, Dr. Jha. According to him, 61 people are infected with dengue throughout the district.
Doctors have advised infected people to stay away from other people and rest, eat plenty of nutritious food, stay indoors as much as possible when the sun is shining, and take other health precautions in order to avoid dengue and viral fever.
