KATHMANDU: The body of Constituent Assembly Chair and UML leader Subas Chandra Nembang has been taken to Aryaghat for last rites.

Before the cremation, a detachment of soldiers and police paid their respects to Nembang with state honors.
The presence is significant, with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ ministers, UML Chair KP Oli, top party officials, supporters, relatives, and well-wishers gathering to honor Nembang’s last rites.
Nembang’s passing, attributed to a heart attack on Tuesday morning, has prompted the government to declare today a public holiday in his honor.
