50 defendants in 61 kg gold smuggling, 3 billion 500 crores claimed
According to CIB SP Krishna Pangeni, 50 persons, including Amala Roka, have been charged.

KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has made 50 people defendants in the 61 kg gold case.
In the report to be submitted to the Office of the Public Prosecutor in Kathmandu today, 50 people have been recommended for prosecution.
During the news conference, it was announced that 32 people had been arrested and that 18 persons were on the wanted list. A decision has been made to proceed with the case while keeping the bill of 3,502,165,552.
According to CIB SP Krishna Pangeni, 50 persons, including Amala Roka, have been charged.
Amala Roka is the former vice chair of the Rolpa-Kathmandu Contact Forum, which is located near the Maoist headquarters.
The CIB is prepared to render an opinion on the prosecution of the accused for organized crime, gold theft, and Rastra Bank Act violations.
