KATHMANDU:  Rescue efforts have been hampered in earthquake-ravaged Morocco.

There have been indications that all of the family members have been buried in the debris in certain spots, but rescue teams have stated that they are having difficulty reaching them for rescue.

It is estimated that some persons are still buried in the rubble in remote areas.

However, according to the BBC, it is difficult to bring relief items as well as rescue staff to earthquake-affected areas.

As of the earthquake, some roads leading to remote communities have been devastated. It has made it difficult to go to the impacted areas.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the High Atlas Mountains, 75 kilometers away from Marrakesh.

Many people are spending the night under the open sky after the earthquake. Last Friday night went 6.

The impact of the 8-magnitude earthquake has affected many other cities including Marrakesh.

Similarly, details of entire villages being destroyed in remote mountainous areas have been published.

It has been confirmed that 2,122 people died in the earthquake and more than 2,400 were injured.
