Myanmar sending 111 athletes to the Asian Games

About 13,000 athletes from 45 countries are expected to participate in the Asian Games, which will be held from September 23 to October 8.

KATHMANDU: Myanmar is going to send 111 athletes to the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

Director of Sports and Physical Education Department under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Khun Jar Ang, said that a 173-member delegation including players, coaches and team managers of seven sports will be sent to the Hangzhou Games. It is said that 63 male and 48 female athletes will participate in sports such as football, taekwondo, wushu, dragon boat racing, esports, and archery.

About 13,000 athletes from 45 countries are expected to participate in the Asian Games, which will be held from September 23 to October 8.

They will compete in 481 events of 40 games. In the 2018 Asian Games held in Indonesia, Myanmar won two medals from Usu and Sepak Takra.
