KATHMANDU: The Nepali cricket team that participated to the Asia Cup will return home on Wednesday.
The Nepali squad, who competed in a historic match against World Cup-winning teams India and Pakistan, is scheduled to return home today at 12:35 p.m.
The squad would be greeted warmly at the Tribhuvan International Airport, according to the Cricket Association Nepal (CAN).
Nepal, which is in Group A, was defeated by both Pakistan and India, but was eliminated from the Asia Cup group stage, but managed to get the attention of the world by performing admirably with the world champion squad for the first time.
Despite losing by 238 runs to Pakistan in the first match and by 10 wickets to India in the second match, the cricketers said that Nepal standing in this level of competition is historic in itself.
