Balen removed threatening status

KATHMANDU Balendra Shah, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has removed the threatening posts he made on Saturday night.

The status warning of setting fire to Singha Durbar have now been removed.

‘Nothing has happened today, if any vehicle of our metropolitan is stopped by the government from tomorrow, I will set fire to Singha Durbar,’ he posted on Facebook. ‘Remember the thieving government.’

The people was outraged by the situation. However, it is not clear whether he removed the status or made them viewable only by himself.

Balen’s rage was attributed to the traffic officers stopping his wife-boarded vehicle.

In this regard, his secretariat issued a statement claiming that Sabina Kafle was mistreated.
