I visited Nepal to further strengthen bilateral relations: Hollen

KATHMANDU: Senator Chris Van Hollen, a member of the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, returned from Nepal today.
During the visit, he had meetings and meetings with government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations, youth, parliamentarians and entrepreneurs, embassy staff, etc. to further strengthen the political and business relations between Nepal and America.
Senator Hollen voiced his enthusiasm for American projects in health, electricity, transportation, infrastructure, and other sectors of the country, and stated that he was pleased with the results. In his discussion with the media after witnessing the Boudha Nath Stupa, he also examined Nepal’s historical and cultural legacy and stated that the objective of his visit is to further develop bilateral relations.
Senator Hollen stated that he visited Nepal to commemorate the 76th year of diplomatic relations between Nepal and America, with the goal of expanding people-to-people relations and broadening bilateral cooperation. He recalled visiting Nepal previously in 1980 and discovering numerous changes and successes during that time. Senator Hollen stated that the visit was extremely nice and beneficial, saying that he met with numerous individuals to develop the US-Nepal political, economic, and commercial relations.
Stating that Nepal’s bright and vibrant democracy is very important, he discussed that America has always been partnering in strengthening Nepal’s democracy. It is said that after the visit to Nepal, Senator Hollen will visit Sri Lanka and Maldives. During his visit, he will also meet with various personalities to strengthen bilateral relations with those countries.
