Protests erupted after Japan dumped contaminated water into the ocean
They have requested that the Korean government file an international court complaint against the Japanese government.

KATHMANDU: South Koreans have continued to protest Japan’s discharge of polluted water from the Daiichi nuclear power station into the sea.
On Saturday, they gathered in the streets and chanted anti-Japan slogans. They chanted slogans such as “Stop throwing radiation water into the ocean” and “Ban all water-based products.”
They have requested that the Korean government file an international court complaint against the Japanese government.
In a survey of 1,000 young people in a coastal area, 72.4 percent voiced disapproval to the Japanese government.
Similarly, 78.3 percent of individuals want a ban on water-based materials imported from Japan, and 67.4 percent of South Koreans want a boycott of the product.
Protesters traveled nearly 5 kilometers to the presidential office in Seoul during the one-and-a-half-hour event.
With the start of dumping water, fishermen, locals and neighboring countries protested in the sea of Japan.
