500 Chyabrung protesters rally against Koshi State name amidst growing controversy (photos)

KATHMANDU: Kirat Yakthung Chumlung have ptganized a protest march with the basic motto of renaming the Koshi State Limbuwan and Kirat based on historical identity.

On the occasion of Kirat Yakthung Chumlung’s 35th foundation day, a demonstration was planned from Jawalakhel Chowk to the central office of Kirat Yakthung Chumlung in Ekantakuna, Lalitpur, with 500 Chyabrungs playing.

The protest was attended by representatives from many Kirat and Limbu communities in the region.
