Two killed, four injured in road accident

KATHMANDU: Two persons were killed while four others were injured in a road accident that took place near Panchkilo of Sunkosi Rural Municipality last night.

The accident took place as a jeep (Ba.15 cha. 9370) carrying passengers was heading from Dolakha to Kathmandu.

According to the Sindhupalchowk District Police Office, the jeep driver Uttamraj Maharjan and Bal Bahadur Khatri of Bahrbise, Sindhupalchowk were among those who died.

The jeep reportedly fell about 300 meters below the road and the occupants were rescued by the locals. The injured in the accident are undergoing treatment in Dhulikhel, police said.
