KATHMANDU: Ten Palestinians and 4 Israeli soldiers were injured in a clash in the city of Nablus in the West Bank on Thursday night.

Clashes erupted when Israeli army personnel arrived with military bulldozers loaded with explosives.

The Israeli army stormed Nablus in order to transport dozens of Israelis to the flashpoint site of Nablus, Joseph’s Tomb, for religious rites.

Plostein residents demonstrated by blocking the roads leading to Joseph’s burial.

They set fire to the Israeli army vehicle’s tires and flung stones at it. Soldiers used rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the protestors.

In addition to the soldiers, 56 Palestinian civilians were hurt during the fighting.
