Nepal defeated Bahrain by a margin of ten wickets
This is Nepal's second comprehensive victory in women's cricket.
KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Bahrain by 10 wickets in their second match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifiers.
In Malaysia, Nepal beat Bahrain’s normal winning target of 32 runs in 2.5 overs without losing a wicket.
This is Nepal’s second comprehensive victory in women’s cricket. Earlier in the 2019 South Asian Games, Nepal defeated Maldives by 16 runs at the Pokhara Cricket Ground.
Nepal’s Kavita Kunwar scored 17 runs not out. Sita Rana Magar, another opener, scored two runs in three balls. Nepal received 13 more runs.
In the match against Bahrain, after giving away only 3 runs in 4 overs and taking 5 wickets, Bahrain was all out for 31 runs in 15.4 overs. Deepika Rasangika scored 11 runs for Bahrain. No other Bahraini batsman could reach double figures.
Nepal defeated the host team Malaysia by 5 runs in the match on Thursday. Nepal will play the third match of the group stage against Bhutan on Sunday.
