Writ against Koshi CM Thapa deffered today

KATHMANDU: The hearing on the writ against Koshi Chief Minister Uddhav Thapa deferred for today.

A bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Sushmalata Mathema was formed to hear the writ.

However, Justice Khatiwada has stated that he will not conduct an investigation into the case.

The petition filed by Hikmat Karki, leader of the Koshi Parliamentary Party, who is also the former Chief Minister, against Thapa with the claim that the vote of confidence taken by Chief Minister Thapa after refusing to hear the case is unconstitutional will not be heard today.

Judge Khatiwada refused to hear the case as the full hearing was scheduled in the court of the judge who had previously heard the case.
