Parliamentary hearing process of proposed SC judge Sharma started
The Council of Justice meeting held on Bhadra 10 (Aug 27) had decided to recommend him for the post of judge of the Supreme Court.

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing process of proposed Supreme Court judge Binod Sharma has started.
The meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee held at Singha Durbar on Friday called for a complaint for the hearing of the proposed Supreme Court Judge Sharma.
Judge Sharma of Patan High Court was currently serving in the Supreme Court. The Council of Justice meeting held on Bhadra 10 (Aug 27) had decided to recommend him for the post of judge of the Supreme Court.
According to the same decision, after the judicial council sent a letter to Sharma for a parliamentary hearing, the senior member of the committee, chairman Pashupati Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana informed that the complaint was called.
He said, ‘I request that the general public be informed about the proposed judge and if the person in question is found unsuitable for the position in question, within 10 days from the date of publication of the notice, I request that a notice or complaint be published through the official media to give a notice or complaint in a decent language. Honourable members, I instruct the secretary of the committee to publish and broadcast information about requesting the complaint of the person in question for the hearing.
A parliamentary hearing would be convened against the questioned Supreme Court judge Sharma after an investigation of the allegation made within 10 days.
According to the constitution, the President appoints him after the parliamentary hearing committee confirms his name.
