Pathao app launches free food delivery service

KATHMANDU: Pathao Nepal, Nepal’s top ride-sharing service provider, has begun offering free food delivery.

Pathao Nepal spokesperson Shashank Shumsher Thapa stated that Pathao has begun free delivery of all food orders from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. with the motto ‘Restaurant rates at home.’

On Sept 24, Pathao Nepal will celebrate its fifth anniversary. Thapa told that, in honour of its anniversary, the company has announced a free delivery plan on the first day of the celebration month. The corporation intends to reveal additional plans and concessions later this month.

Pathao food, which has been delivering meals from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., would charge Rs 150 for three hours of food delivery.

The culinary festival was held from June 10 to June 30. During that time, the company set a new record in meal delivery by delivering more than 1.5 million orders. Thap reported that the company’s daily orders increased as a result of the culinary festival.

Aside from the food festival, Pathao Food gives numerous discounts to its clients by presenting different offers every day. The company says that Pathao Food, which operates over 600 eateries, provides the fastest service to costumers.

Pathao Nepal, which began providing bike ride-sharing services in Nepal on Sept 24, 2018, began providing vehicle light (taxi) services on Aug 9, 2019. Pathao will launch a home delivery service for hotel and restaurant meals and snacks on September 24, 2020.

Similarly, Pathao, which began delivering groceries as ‘Pathao Bazaar’ on June 13, 2021, began Pathao Parcel on Aug 9, 2023.
